There are many vehicle adaptations available now that allow you to stay behind the wheel, even if you have no use of your legs and severely limited use of your arms.
Our engineering services at our Truro Centre fit adaptations to vehicles in line with recommendations from assessments.
There is a wide range of adaptations available from various manufacturers and we prefer to assess the most suitable type for the client’s individual requirements. If you have previously had an assessment with the Centre and simply wish to transfer any existing adaptation(s) to an alternative vehicle, there is usually no requirement to have another assessment, provided your personal circumstance have not changed.
We do encourage all clients who require their vehicle to be adapted to have an assessment with our trained Advanced Driving Instructors and Clinicians.

The Centre has a range of vehicles available fitted with various adaptations for demonstration and instruction purposes.
We have a team of specialist Technicians who can fit a wide range of adaptations.
Prior to collection of your adapted vehicle, we recommend tuition in a Centre vehicle using similar controls to ensure you are able to operate the adaptations safely and competently.
Should you need to obtain an alternative or new vehicle, our Adaptations Technicians are able to advise and recommend suitable alternative vehicle types.
We are also able to service and repair adaptations.
