Cornwall Mobility was an exhibitor at the Skills Show Experience event held in Wadebridge on 16-17th October 2014. This was a careers event aimed at students from Schools and Colleges in Cornwall and featured major national employers such as the Army and more local ones such as Pirate FM, Ginsters and Cornwall Council. The part of the show where Cornwall Mobility was located was centred around Health issues and so we found ourselves between Volunteer Cornwall and Pentreath, and opposite an information stand around health issues particularly as they relate to teenagers. Large numbers of students visited the event and several students from the schools and colleges had a "go" on the Dragon Vertic powerchair from Invacare. This demonstration gave them a chance to feel just what freedom it gives, not just to move around quickly, but also to rise to a vertical position - and to move around whilst remaining vertical. Students from Truro and Penwith College, Penair School, Roseland Community College, Penrice Community College and Helston Community College, amongst others, visited the stand, tried the Dragon and also were able to look at Bugzi, a powered wheelchair designed for children up to five years old.
